1. Open Education is a four-monthly publication (January, May and September), in the multidisciplinary fields of Education and Psychology. It accepts papers of empirical and theoretical character in any of these fields. Over 75% of the published articles will be empirical and express the results of original research. The rest of the articles –descriptive works about innovative education experiences or theoretical works- will be only published if they are proposed or requested by Editorial Committee.
2. The works submitted must be unpublished and neither under review nor sent to other publisher simultaneously. That fact must be accredited by sending a letter to the editor of the magazine, stating explicitly that their work is not in other media.
3. To ensure the anonymity of the authors when sending original work, the name of the document and the number of words will be written on the first page, without any sort of reference to the authors, who will exclude all references that might identify them.
4. The originals, in MS Word format, will not exceed 6000 words (Including title, summary, references, tables, appendixes and illustrations) and they will be written in double space, on one side of the paper, with 3 cm margins and numbered on the top right corner. Manuscripts will be sent exclusively via the platform www.AulaAbierta.cop.es/autores. This site has been optimized for Internet Explorer, so we recommend using it. Should you have any doubt or problem, please contact us at aulabierta@cop.es
5. Articles are accepted both in English and Spanish. The originals must follow the publishing rules of the American Psychological Association –APA- (Publication Manual of The American Psychological Association, 2005, 6th edition).
6. The revision of the work will be anonymous. The authors may suggest up to a maximum of four possible reviewers to evaluate their work, indicating clearly their mailing address and their e-mail. They may also indicate people they would like excluded from the revision process, whatever the reasons might be.
7. The reception date of the original, the date the article was sent once the changes were made, and the date of the definitive acceptance will be present in each published article.
8. The copyright holder of the published articles is Open Education. Other benefits derived from the published investigations belong to the authors. Any physical or legal person who might want to republish partially or completely any of the articles must obtain permission from the Directors, who will grant that permission with the consent of the authors.
9. Articles describing funded studies will include recognition of credit and must have the publishing consent of the financing institution. The authors are responsible for the ideas and opinions expressed in the published work, without Open Education compromising with them. We decline any responsibility for possible conflicts arising from the authorship of the studies that are published in the magazine.
